We are HIRING.  Our growing Home staging and design company is looking to hire an ambitious, creative and passionate interior designer to add to our team. While experience is a factor,  we will also consider someone who loves interior design, is diverse and they appreciate both modern and contemporary design. They are constantly  keeping up with  trends in the industry and know how to infuse current trends in architecture, fashion, and design.

 

Pay will be per project basis but this will change as we go forward depending on the workload and responsibilities. We have been staging and designing homes in Winnipeg and surrounding  areas for 5+ years. We work with award winning real estate investors, builders and homeowners.

 

The successful candidate will lead the interior design projects,  you will also be working alongside the lead designer.

 

Qualification: A degree in  Interior Design. Proficient in Sketch Up, and Revit (or other equivalent modeling/rendering software is a plus.

Experience

Professional experience in the planning and design of interior projects, Strong design and graphic presentation skills/abilities.

 

6 months  - 5 years in a design / interior design capacity but  like we mentioned before,  we are open to anyone. If you are out of school and don't have the experience yet, we would love to hear from you as well. Duties

 

• Determine the client’s goals and requirements of the project.

• Consider how the space will be used and how people will move through the space.

• Sketch preliminary design plans, including electrical layouts.

• Specify materials and furnishings, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, and plumbing fixtures.

• Search for and bid on new projects.

• Select materials and finishes, including flooring, cabinetry, colors, and fixtures.

• Paint Colour consultation.

• Prepare final plans, using computer applications

• Create a timeline for the interior design project and estimate project costs

• If required, place orders for materials and oversee installing the design elements

• Visit after the project to ensure that the client is satisfied

• Other duties as required.

 

Requirements

• Clean driving record, valid driver’s license.

• Must have a cell phone

• Reliable personal transportation and the ability to use it to travel to job sites from time to time

• High level of professionalism, Neat and clean appearance

• Excellent communication skills

• Must be a team player

• Flexible scheduling/availability including evenings & weekends
